Beethoven's Ninth to start 2018

Douglas Bostock started the New Year with a concert as part of his Beethoven Symphony cycle with the Argovia Philharmonic in the world renowned KKL main hall in Lucerne, Switzerland on 10th January. The orchestra was joined by the superb Ensemble Corund and a spectacular solo quartet (Ana-Maria Labin, Marina Viotti, Markus Brutscher and Äneas Humm) in Beethoven's 9th Symphony, which was acquitted with standing ovations by a full house. Beethoven's "Prometheus" Overture and Schubert's "Unfinished" Symphony formed the first half of what was a truly memorable memorable concert.
