In June Douglas Bostock closed the 2009/2010 season of the
Aargau Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland with concerts of
American music
and a renewed appearance in the Tonhalle Z¨¹rich in a programme
including Beethoven's Violin Concerto (Ivan Ženatý) and Dvoř¨¢k¡¯s

Symphony.

The Czech Chamber Philharmonic was conducted on the Isle
of Reichenau in June by Douglas Bostock in programme
with music by Weber, Beethoven, Schubert and Schumann.

Twelve young conductors from eight nations took part in the
annual International Conducting Master Class under the direction
of Douglas Bostock at the Jungfrau Music Festival in Interlaken
in Switzerland at the beginning of July.
Douglas Bostock conducted music by Hindemith, Milhaud,
Stravinsky and Copland etc. in Maeda Hall at Senzoku Gaukuen
College of Music in Japan in July.
In August the 8th
and final CD in Douglas Bostock¡¯s cycle of the complete
orchestral music by Carl Nielsen was released (Aalborg
Symphony Orchestra / Mathias Hedegaard, tenor).
