Sibelius in Thailand

After his highly acclaimed debut with the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO) in February 2018, Douglas Bostock returned to the orchestra for a concert on 22nd February 2019, including (unbelievably) the first Thai performance of Sibelius' 3rd Symphony! The soloist in Shostakovich's 1st Cello Concerto was the wonderful Li Wei, a great friend, with whom Douglas collaborated previously with the London Philharmonic and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic in the UK. In addition there were also two conducting masterclasses, one organised by the RBSO, and one at Silpakorn University faculty of Music, continuing Douglas' path of conducting education in Thailand.
