Masterclass in Switzerland

The 11th International Conducting Masterclass with the Argovia Philharmonic at the Künstlerhaus Boswil in Switzerland was cancelled in April due to the pandemic. It was rescheduled for 23 - 27 November, and thanks to the hard work and careful planning of all concerned could be held successfully. Safety measures were in place, which allowed the smooth running of the class. Even the final concert could take place, in which, as usual, all 10 students conducted. During the five days Douglas Bostock taught the young conductors, who had made their way to Boswil from different countries, as far away as Japan, to take part. It was a great experience of music, learning and friendship, which defied the restrictions imposed due to Corona.

It was also the first occasion for Douglas and the musicians of his former orchestra, the Argovia Philharmonic, to collaborate again. A warm hearted reunion, truly appreciated by all.
