Spring Sounds

Although the South West German Chamber Orchestra and Douglas Bostock are currently not able to perform public concerts due to restrictions, they continue to be active in the recording studio. In March they recorded Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" in an unusual version for Romanian "nai" (pan flute) and strings with Andreea Chira. And, following on from the acclaim for the 1st in the video series "Discovery", Douglas and the orchestra recorded the 2nd instalment, Elgar's Serenade for Strings.

At the end of March two CDs were issued, which were recorded last summer: Volume 2 in the series "British Music for Strings" with music by Bantock and Wilson, and Double Bass Concertos and Sinfonia No. 15 by Sperger, both on the CPO label.
