The Story of the Stick

WASBE (World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles) asked Douglas Bostock to write an article about his choice and use of conducting sticks for their online magazine, published in early February. It turned out to be a personal account of his first encounters and experience with conducting sticks, meeting Sir Adrian Boult, finding beautiful sticks in Japan, through to having his own personal model developed.
