Swiss Symphony revived
In the last subscription concerts of the 2016/17 season (all sold-out!) the argovia philharmonic under Douglas Bostock performed the neglected "Swiss" Symphony (No. 7 in D Minor) by the late Romantic Swiss composer, Hans Huber, on the occasion of the centenary of its composition and premiere in Basel. After the Symphony by Hermann Suter, this will be the second in a series of CDs featuring Romantic Swiss symphonies which the orchestra and Douglas Bostock are undertaking. The recording will be released on the Coviello label.
