Premiere in Pforzheim

In the 4th Subscription Concert of the 2022/2023 Season Douglas Bostock and the Southwest German Chamber Orchestra performed the German premiere of Edward Gregson's Cello Concerto with the soloist Li Wei Qin, who had premiered the work in Manchester almost 20 years earlier. The enthusiastic audience was rewarded with the finale from Haydn's C major Cello Concerto. Li Wei and Douglas will be joining forces again for the Elgar Concerto in August with the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra.
